Our Walk4Hearing Team raised over $2,000!

winners.smThank you to EVERYONE who contributed to the HLAA-Central MA Team Walk 4 Hearing fundraiser.  It was a beautiful, blustery, autumn day in Boston, and there was a big crowd.  The New England website of HLAA (Hearing Loss Association) says we raised over $85,000, and it also says Margaret raised over $1,905!  Yowsa!   she ended up coming in 4th among individual fundraisers (see purple person in line-up of honorees.

Thanks to all of you who contributed so generously.  When people gave, they wrote of parents, spouses, and (shyly) themselves – we are all affected by someone’s hearing loss.

A good thing about walking alone is that I came in first!  Way first.  I had time to stand around and network with other HOH folks as they crossed the finish line.  I joined

walk4hearingthe Boston chapter in their after-walk-lunch at Wild Willy’s in Watertown.  We all compared hearing experiences, hearing aids, cochlear implants, what works and what doesn’t.  Very fun!

Thanks again, and hope to see everyone at the next chapter meeting
