Our December 11, 2011 meeting, held in the basement at Trinity Church, Northborough, MA was a presentation by Beth Wilson focusing on ways to cope with hearing loss during the holiday celebrations. Beth’s presentation was a down to earth, practical, and often humorous one which focused on how those of us who are hard of hearing have trouble hearing during family gathering and company outings, how we can better cope at such functions and how we can help others to better understand how to communicate with us. She spoke about techniques that work and those that don’t work as well. She provided some good techniques and strategies to both hear better in these situations and let others know how they can better communicate with us.
After the meeting, there was an opportunity to talk with others and learn more from one another over holiday cookies and treats.
